Yesterday, October 14th, 860 years ago, a bunch of foreigners invaded England and defeated its king and his army. The result of this defeat was a profound change in how England was run and managed. The people in charge of England were replaced with foreigners who displaced England’s aristocracy and the leadership of England’s church. Following the defeat by the foreigners the people of England became sorely oppressed, they were subject to harsh laws, denied the right to voice their complaints and governed by Kings who were not accountable in any way to the English people.
However, despite the defeat, at least the English King Harold I made a brave attempt to stop the invasion from across the English Channel. He tried right up until a Norman arrow took out King Harold’s eye.
Fast forward to the present day and Britain is led not by a King who gave his all to try to repel invaders from across the English Channel, but a gaggle of useless politicians who want to assist the invasion and pretend that this invasion is a ‘good thing’. These politicians are extremely relaxed about the invasion of foreigners who oppress and harm the British people and have instituted harsh and unjust laws to stop Britons assembling or protesting or make any complaint about the invasion.
We are led by a bunch of politicians who are the opposite of King Harold. These ‘anti-Harolds’ don’t want to defend Britain’s borders or make the country safe for British people. Instead they want to facilitate not just the arrival of hostile and dangerous foreigners but are placing them in positions whereby the inherent rapine violence of these foreigners oppresses the British people.
Just as William the Bastard removed the Anglo-Saxon Earls and other notables and placed his own men in these and similar positions, our current crop of politicians allow those with dangerous ideologies from outside the Kingdom to occupy positions in the legislature and administration. Like William the Bastard’s men these new imports are running their fiefdoms not for the benefit of all Britons but only for their own interests and the interests of their own sectarian group.
Yes, King Harold I was defeated at Hastings but at least he put up a fight against foreign incursion and against a dangerous enemy. Our current politicians are not doing even that. They are inviting and allowing an invasion and putting invaders and those aligned with them in Parliament, local authorities, in police uniforms, on the benches of our courts and elsewhere in the mechanisms of the State. King Harold tried to repel an invasion whilst those who rule over us now think that the current invasion is a good thing. What a difference 860 years makes.
