There are many different text effects that can be created with Photoshop. I like this text effect quite well. And this is now a very popular and unique effect that can be created in very little time if you use Photoshop. So below are some pictures and process of how I did it.
Start by selecting a picture; a PNG image is preferable for easy background removal, but JPG works too.
Choose a letter or two for your text effect. Position the text layer behind the image layer.
Convert the text into a clipping mask:
a. Select the image layer.
b. Right-click on the text layer and choose "Create Clipping Mask."
Duplicate the clipping mask layer:
a. Select the clipping mask layer.
b. Right-click on it and select "Duplicate Layer."
With the duplicated layer selected, hold the ALT key and click on the Layer Mask icon to create a black mask. Use the Brush tool to erase parts of the character you want to reveal on the black mask (paint with white to reveal, and with black to hide).Once you've achieved the desired look for your text effect, proceed to the next step.
Add a background of your choice to enhance the overall aesthetic. Customize the text color as desired to make it stand out or blend in with the image. Your text effect is complete! Enjoy the process of experimenting with different images and text to create unique designs in Photoshop. I hope you like it.
