Its great to have an alert dog. There was one time actually when I had problems with 4 spanish gypsys taking the key for me van (i was drunk and forgot it in the keyhole on the sliding door) and then one went in the front of my van as i was in the back but I felt the van move a bit as they got in, but none of the dogs (2 was a girlfriends, and I had just my brown terrier) even noticed nor barked etc.

I ended up going outside naked with a machete that the Massai had given me and as I walked around the back of the van I saw someone slipping out my driverside door and running off around the front across the carpark.

This is a long story, but to cut it shorter, it ended up as a square of with me going mental at these 4 gypsys stood naked in a carpark with this machete, and my girlfriend at the time stood infront of me screaming in spanish that they should leave before blood was drawn.

I was telling them to give my key back but ofcourse they said "what key", and after some minutes they left. It was my only key for the van!

Soo.. not being able to move it, sat in a carpark, I had to wait up all night expecting a retaliation for going mental and that they would return and it would get nasty.

Luckily they didnt return, and even more luckily, the gf had some kind of travel resucue insurance that insures whatever car she is in, to get towed to any workshop for free and so we did that and got new keys for the van 🤣
