I was ill some days whilst being harrand then didnt do even more than 2k steps. Better now though and today I woke up early to get a ride with someone but they didnt have to go out in the end. I was up at 8am and so it was time for more wagon action.
I started on the inside wall to neaten it up, and I cant remember if I documented the start already.
All materials Im using are recycled
I didnt plan to do this but all the wood from the ruined demolished house, has ended up very close to the wagon ready for a bonfire, and so on a rainy day I started inside.
Then today the first thing I wanted to do was to level out the wagon. A wheel is missing and it had sunk on the old support so each morning you woke up against the wall by slowly sliding across the bed at night.
The guy who didnt drive anywhere learnt he had a day off and offered to help me out on the roof as I need 2 pairs of hands, but got drunk by the time I saw him at 8am and 10am 😝
(https://usermedia.actifit.io/8619ab59-c3fe-4bdd-a642-a9bfd987e580)I had to return the jack to his car as he had already forgot about it
It took some adjusting but in the end it was set on a huge slab that I had trouble to handle and 4 bricks, and packed out with slate.
I remember my first boss in apprenticeship who was an excellent carpenter and builder, asked me one day at work:
"What's the most compressed material we can use to level out steelworks of a house with?"
Slate!!
And there were some bits near the trash at the parking.
Here it is with its new footing that will last a good few years
After that I had to go up and look at the roof. There was no overhang so the rain was dripping and hitting the wall.
Ive added parts on to extend the roof and will carry on again soon.
I'm posting this a day later as I didnt do it yesterday as usual 🤣 have a great day!
