How are you all spending your weekend, i hope is amazing. I am very happy to share about my work today on how i cut and sew a old car seat to turn out new. This really beautiful of me when i do a work that move someone to say is beautiful.

Sewing of car seat is something simple but very important because if the interior of the car is not neat, it will not attract people to enter. For example if you see a car and you want to buy you will love to look at the interior and if the outside is neat and the interior is not neat , you will not love the car i till you change it. Sewing of car seat is something you can do by yourself if you choose to do.

This seat was below to a new Customer that choose to try me for the first time. He ask me to do good work for him, and if i am able to stastify him, he will be giving me works. This very car is for sale.

To get the work done, i have to loose the seat from the car to my workshop with the help of spanners

This is actually a complete seat, ie 2 front and 2 back. I started this project on Friday and i was able to do only the two front and by Tuesday i think the project will be completed..

I will Love to share some steps how i cut and sew a car seat.

Here is the leather I am using

Looking at the picture, i am using two leather, both black. One is is spotted which will be used at the center only, why the other is plend.

To get the work done, i loose the seat difference from the back seat with the help of spanner, i then use a sewing tape to measure the length of each pattern on the seat, then use chalk to write on the seat. See photos below 👇👇

After getting the measurements, i then transfer the measurements to the new leather and then draw a line according to the measurements.

I then use scissors ✂️ to cut it following the line i draw.

After cutting it, i then place the cut leather on it possition, then shape it to form a new pattern has the old pattern. After forming pattern i then gum it to a roof material to make it smooth and think.

I finally cut it out for sewing process.

With the help of sewing machine, i sew those patterns together and finally i cut a new seat cover.

I finally tight the seat back, and the two front seat is ready.
