I was 79.75kg yesterday but when I checked my weight this morning, I was 80kg. At first, I was alarmed, wondering what had happened to jerk up the weight but then I calmed down enough to think it through. These things fluctuate based on both food and water intake. 0.25kg was negligible and was no cause for alarm. However, it kept me on my toes though and I kept a closer watch on my calorie count. I chose to do something differently at work today. As a facilitator/lecturer for the Ajayi Crowther University Distance Learning center at Samonda, Ibadan, I teach courses on Human Behavior and Organizational Psychology for 300 level students on Fridays and Saturdays.
My usual practice is to sit facing the class during lectures. I sit because it keeps my body temperature down as the classed have no air conditioning. Today, I chose to stand and walk back and forth during the classes instead of sitting. It was tasking especially because of the 33°c heat wave we've been experiencing lately and I got all sweaty after the first hour. I definitely won't do that often. The sticky sensation that came along with the sweat was rather uncomfortable. I was glad for the indirect exercise though. In addition to this, I consumed a total of 1300 calories and I feel very well. I haven't found a fitness partner yet; if you would like to join me on this weight loss journey, please drop a comment below.
