Richard had only been standing for a split second in front of the flower shop which was not far from the crossroads leading to his house. It was 4pm, the man had just returned from the sales office where he worked as a promotion staff in the advertising department.
It was a pretty tiring day, and tiring for a job that was still chasing a collection of unfinished tasks. However, he had to hurry home for Lilyan's sake because he didn't want to ruin their wedding anniversary.
"No, no," he tried to shake the memory from inside him.
Richard had to shake off all memories of his fight with Lilyan two days ago.
"This time, you won't spoil it again," he said to himself.
Last year, he was also afraid to remember the anniversary of his marriage to Lilyan which he ruined last year. A day when he comes home drunk after partying at a bar, alone.
Richard was putting all the blame on Mr Masykoor. Richard wanted to vent his anger on the promotion division head who he thought was too stiff and tacky. He wanted to have a few drinks before heading home. However, what can I say, as a result, he forgot that that night he was supposed to be at the table with Lilyan for their wedding anniversary.
This time, he repeatedly reiterated to himself, nothing could ruin his special day with Lilyan. He had prepared something for his wife's heart which was wrapped in emotion.
Yes, something Lilyan would surely like, thought Richard.

The man glanced back at the bunch of flowers wrapped in a dark red ribbon in his hand. He smiled to himself. He was imagining Lilyan's face, and was already in front of the railing when he stopped in his tracks to see a blue metallic sedan parked across the street.
"Damn it, why is George's car here?" He's cranky. He knew that the owner of the car was George, Lilyan's best friend since childhood.
With a strange feeling, he walked as usual towards the door. However, before he could open the door, Lilyan had opened it first. Lilyan only glanced at Richard, while George followed behind him.
"Hi Richard," said George, pulling the big suitcase with him.
"Oh—, hi, George—," Richard replied with a confused look on his face.
"Oh hey—, wait a minute, what's this?!" Richard seemed to have just woken up.
Lilyan stopped, and looked at her from the terrace.
"Sorry, I can't stand you anymore, I have to find my own life," Lilyan replied as she arranged the box she was about to put in George's car.
"Honey, what does that mean?!" Richard immediately followed George and pulled the suitcase from his hand.
"Put this suitcase down!" Richard was slightly elevated.
"Hey, hey, calm down, man," George held up his hands afraid Richard would react more than that.
"I was only asked by Lilyan to help, calm down, friend," George continued.
Meanwhile, Richard immediately followed Lilyan who was loading some small boxes into the trunk of the car.
"Please honey, I'm sorry for my rude behavior yesterday. I made a mistake. I won't do it again, honey, please," Richard held Lilyan's hand while showing a pitiful face and slightly whined.
"I can't take it anymore. You're being too rude, but I've already prepared the divorce papers. You can find them on the living room table soon enough." Lilyan walked inside to pick up some things that hadn't been loaded into the car yet.
"Honey, please, don't act like this," Richard tried to restrain her.
"Let go of your hand," said Lilyan. However, Richard didn't seem to care.
"Hey, you hurt your hand, let go!" Lilyan's voice was getting higher and higher so George rushed over and pushed Richard's hand away from Lilyan's arm.
"Damn it George, I've had enough of you, you bully! Don't meddle in my family business, you bastard! Richard glared at the man.
"Sorry, mate, I won't let you hurt a woman," George replied in a stoic gesture.
Richard jumped at his opponent throwing a punch, but George dodged. George didn't give Richard a chance to take a second shot. He immediately took a good takeoff position for his fists. Sliding from the bottom, shot up, aiming for the weakest point, namely the chin.
"Enough, already, dear George, stop it, leave him," said Lilyan.
"You're done, right?" said George.
"Yes, let's get out of here," said Lilyan.
Meanwhile, Richard seemed to be lying helpless. In fact, he could have risen. However, he refused. The man chose to remain lying down after being knocked down by George's punch.
Up above, the sky was covered with a tinge of twilight, while the flowers had brought lay lying to the side. It looks like it's just been kneaded, aka a shapeless dent, and a mess.
Inside the plastic fold was a small card. It said, "towards a happy tenth wedding day."
