Our trip to Belgrade led us to a historic district, where we were able to enjoy a true taste of the old city. Our street was lined with cafes, and at the end of the street, an intersecting alley revealed a bunch of restaurants. Finding good places to eat was a breeze!
When walking the streets, you can feel the history and peace of the place. The architecture is a real mix that can only be found in such an old settlement. We loved the aged look of the buildings and the classic signs of the cafes – a unique experience that modern cities fail to provide.
Belgrade is one of Europe’s oldest cities, where Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and modern styles have been mixed and fused together. Old town’s streets are narrow, often with a view of traditional restaurants and cafes, lined along them. This part of the city has a unique peace and coziness that only old European streets possess.
I have added both the original and black and white versions of this photo here.
So, which version did you like more ?
