Looks like it is harder and harder to mine bitcion. Like gold. Mining is more and more expensive.

Current price of bitcoin is around $15 000. Worth of all bitcoins is $15 000 x 16 731 000 = $250965000000.
Worth of all the gold ever mined is still larger than the worth of all ever mined bitcoins.
However the prices of one bitcoin was at the beginning of this year lower than the price of one ounce of gold.
Now one bitcoin is worth 12 times more than one ounce of gold. Therefore maybe in the future all ever mined bitcoins will cost more than all ever mined gold. And just maybe that future is not so distant anymore. As we all know progress of technology is faster and faster.
