As a child, I do ask my parents lots of questions; I simply love to think a lot. There was a time I asked my parents a certain question. The question was quite emotional. I asked him how he acquired his wealth, and why doesn't he do everything possible to acquire more wealth in any way so we can get more when he is young?
My mom was shocked to hear a child saying something like that. well, I was quite young then I mean, very young and I don't know what life is all about.
I could not forget that day, so let me just say I'm glad I asked that question. My dad only smiled and said there's something in life I don't know, but I might not understand now until I become a man.
He said that no matter what happens to me in life, I should never force anything to happen, but I should make sure I do my best for every good thing to happen.
Honestly, I'm lost. I could not understand what he meant by what he was saying. But now I understand him well.
I left home in 2013 to further my education. Then life hit me in a different way, and now I understand what my parents told me then. I was working in school as an engineer, but life isn't too easy for me. Well, I met some friends that I like. As time goes on, some of my friends start doing Yahoo and one or two things that can bring money in a bad way. This is because the work they are doing is not moving well, and they need instant money.
I was invited to it because they are my friends. Anyway, I need to tell my parents because there's nothing I will do in my life that I won't tell them, even though they know I will never do it.
I'm free to tell my parents to the extent that there's nothing I can't tell them; they won't scold me anyway. All my dad said was, Do you remember what I told you—that you should never force anything in this life? I said yes.
He said, Do I now understand the quote he told me? I replied yes. The fact is that hard work pays. You just have to believe in yourself and keep going, because one day everything will be alright.
He said everything he has achieved in his life is through hard work, and he has never forced anything to happen before. There's karma, and it's real. If you do good or bad, you will receive it in one way or another.
Till this moment in my life, I've never forced anything, and even whenever I'm tired and remember that quote, I just have to keep pushing, hoping one day everything will be fine.
I must be sincere. I'm glad I listened to what I was told because it helped me in a lot of ways. I do not force anything, but everything good keeps falling into place for me, even when my friends are forcing it. I believe that what we all believe matters most in life because, at the end of the day, whatever will be will be.
