Queridos amigos de Hive, por motivos de trabajo, regresé a la Universidad que me formó como Licenciada en Educación Musical.
Caminé los pasillos y saludé a los compañeros de trabajo que nos conocemos hace ya algunos años, de cuando comencé a trabajar en la Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas en el año 2010, que es como se llamaba en aquel entonces. Esta Universidad, Cultura Física y la Universidad de Pinar del Río, se unificó en el 2015 y pasó a ser una única Institución Universitaria. En mi presentación comenté que trabajo en la Vicerrectoría de Investigación y Posgrado y por motivos de la Inspección que se realiza todos los años con vistas al Balance Anual, tuve que visitar las Facultades que tienen como misión, la de formar a los futuros profesionales de la Educación en la provincia de Pinar del Río.
Aunque está vez fui cómo visita, está Institución para mí, es como mi segunda casa. En ella, he crecido profesionalmente, conocí a mi esposo y a muchas personas, algunas han sido mis profesores, otros compañeros de trabajo y otros muy especiales, mis amigos.
Vi a algunos de mis antiguos estudiantes y creo que esta es una buena oportunidad para hablarles de mi vida como profesora. Es una profesión que disfruto mucho, sobre todo cuando siento que hay empatía hacia la asignatura que estoy impartiendo. Las materias que más me gusta trabajar son las relacionadas con la Historia de la Música y el Lenguaje de la Música. Me permite poder mostrarles a los estudiantes el mundo de la música desde la relación que esta tiene con el fenómeno físico que es el sonido, hasta la historia musical de cada género de la música universal y cubana.
A lo largo de mi vida laboral, para apreciar las características de los diferentes períodos estilísticos, he trabajado con audiciones de diferentes obras, sobre todo, de los autores más conocidos y representativos de cada época, pero hace dos cursos escolares que he tenido la posibilidad de llevar a los estudiantes a vivenciar el hecho musical, observando los instrumentos y a los músicos interpretando las obras musicales, en una concierto-conferencia.
Tuve una experiencia maravillosa con los estudiantes de la Carrera de Educación Artística, la actividad se desarrolló en el local de ensayo de la Orquesta acompañante del Teatro Lírico Ernesto Lecuona. En cuanto comenzó a sonar la primera obra que interpretaría la orquesta, a una de mis estudiantes se le llenaron los ojos de lágrimas de la emoción. Ella es de un municipio alejado de las Instituciones Culturales y no había disfrutado nunca de una experiencia como esta. Al salir, se veían muy emocionadas y quisieron inmediatamente sentarse en un parque a redactar una de las preguntas de la guía, orientada antes de la presentación, esta estaba dirigida a explicar los sentimientos que te evocaba la obra musical escuchada. Sentí una satisfacción inmensa porque tuve la oportunidad de brindarles a estas estudiantes un momento de su vida que no iban a olvidar, estar por primera vez frente a una orquesta sinfónica.
Gracias a esta Casa de altos estudios, como le llamamos a nuestra Universidad, he podido desempeñarme como profesora y así cumplir los sueños de otros jóvenes que también optaron por esta profesión. Me dio la posibilidad de superarme y ser la profesional que soy hoy. Agradezco, el conocer a todas las personas que han llegado a mi vida a lo largo de todos estos años. Espero que hayan disfrutado de la lectura de este post y mi experiencia de vida como profesional de la Educación Superior. Yo les agradezco por llegar al final y les deseo una linda semana. Dear friends of Hive, for work reasons, I returned to the University that trained me as a Bachelor in Music Education.
I walked the corridors and greeted the coworkers that we have known each other for some years now, from when I started working at the University of Pedagogical Sciences in 2010, which is how it was called back then. This University, Physical Culture and the University of Pinar del Rio, was unified in 2015 and became a single University Institution. In my presentation I commented that I work in the Vice Rectory of Research and Postgraduate and for reasons of the Inspection that is carried out every year with a view to the Annual Balance, I had to visit the Faculties whose mission is to train future professionals of Education in the province of Pinar del Río.
Although this time I went as a visitor, this institution for me is like my second home. In it, I have grown professionally, I met my husband and many people, some have been my teachers, others work colleagues and other very special ones, my friends.
I saw some of my former students and I think this is a good opportunity to tell them about my life as a teacher. It is a profession that I enjoy very much, especially when I feel that there is empathy towards the subject I am teaching. The subjects I most enjoy working on are those related to the History of Music and the Language of Music. It allows me to show students the world of music from the relationship it has with the physical phenomenon that is sound, to the musical history of each genre of universal and Cuban music.
Throughout my working life, in order to appreciate the characteristics of the different stylistic periods, I have worked with auditions of different works, above all, of the best known and most representative authors of each period, but two school years ago I had the opportunity to take the students to experience the musical fact, observing the instruments and the musicians performing the musical works, in a concert-conference.
I had a wonderful experience with the students of the Artistic Education Career, the activity took place in the rehearsal room of the Orchestra accompanying the Ernesto Lecuona Lyric Theater. As soon as the first piece to be performed by the orchestra began to play, one of my students' eyes filled with tears of emotion. She is from a town far away from cultural institutions and had never enjoyed an experience like this before. When they left, they looked very excited and immediately wanted to sit in a park to write one of the questions of the guide, oriented before the presentation, which was aimed at explaining the feelings evoked by the musical work listened to. I felt an immense satisfaction because I had the opportunity to give these students a moment in their lives that they would never forget, being in front of a symphony orchestra for the first time.
Thanks to this House of Higher Studies, as we call our University, I have been able to work as a teacher and thus fulfill the dreams of other young people who also chose this profession. It gave me the possibility to improve myself and become the professional I am today. I am grateful to know all the people who have come into my life throughout all these years.
