I had such high hopes for my SHR_Tothemoon Duelist Spectral Shield Throw character. He unfortunately did not make it, act 3 boss was his undoing. Dominus is his name, and he hurts a lot if you're not prepared. I should of googled the boss mechanics, even though I killed him many times I somehow forgot about the stacking bleeds he uses. First stage of the boss fight was smooth and I was quite confident that I will beat him easy, nothing could even make a dent on my character before, but getting overconfident was my undoing.
Suddenly the strength of healing potions wasn't as strong as the bleeds from the boss, when I realized what was happening I started to panic. When you start to panic it is all over, GG, RIP. I died, and all the progress done was lost. That is what happened with my Tothemoon Duelist. He shall be remembered as a hero.
After that devastating loss I thought I was done with this competition, I went out with a couple of friends, we had some beers and we mourned my character. Well, they were laughing as hell, but not me, I was crushed. Then I decided to not give up and I created a brand new character, a templar with totem build. One hardcore death won't be the end of me, let's see how long this one will last :) Trust me, Path of Exile will get you good.
