If you're a Steemian and when someone asks you what do you do, it is not that simple to answer that question is it? Being a Steemian can be separated into several different aspects that makes a whole.
Blogger - This is probably the most important and the most obvious part of being a Steemian. You can go out there and start creating content, with time and effort you can start earning from Steem inflation pool. You can become popular and this can become your main source of income on Steem. You can expand the token earning process by using Steem Engine tribes and soon SMTs.
Curator - Curation is another very interesting part of Steem experience once you've earned enough Steem Power. Curators are the living blood vessels that power up this place up. Without curators who care to spread new Steem around this place wouldn't exsist. If you pair these two aspects of curation and content creation and if you have decent amounts of Steem Power you can go places on Steem.
Gamer - There are few games on Steem that can generate value for you just by playing them every day. Splinterlands on higher tier of ranking play can make you more money than curation and blogging combined. Gaming aspect of Steem is just another layer of Steem experience where you can make a good foundation for many years to come.
Trader - Trading Steem is one of the riskiest aspects of being a Steemian, you can trade your earned Steem and Steem Backed Dollars (SBD) on internal markets and make profits there. Do this only if you know the fundamentals of trading and have some experience of doing it.
Investor - You can disregard all aspects above and just buy your share of Steem, you can then speculate with the money on the markets or you can delegate that Steem to some of the projects that are happening on Steem and generate income passively.
Developer - If you're a developer of any kind Steem can offer a vast sea of possibilities to you, this is the only aspect of Steem that I haven't tried out on my own yet, I have some cool ideas but I don't have the knowledge to capitalize on them at the moment.
So you see being a Steemian is not as simple as it seems at the first glance, it is a complex system that requires training and time to understand. You can actually be every one of these aspects at once, you're then so called power user, a Steemian in the zone.
When you talk to people on the street and start explaining different aspects of being a Steemian You will lose them just by reaching the middle part, just say you deal drugs.
