Colonel Abrams
Detroit-born Colonel Abrams was one of soul’s most distinctive voices during the dark years of the mid-80s.He became popular on the New York underground scene via radio & club plays, his first major hit track "Music is the Answer" dropped in the 80's , under an independent label Streetwise. Thanks to the dancefloor success of “Music Is The Answer”, Abrams signed to MCA and released the classic single “Trapped” in 1985.
Abrams follow-up “I’m Not Gonna Let” also hit the British pop chart, but subsequent singles “How Soon We Forget” and “Nameless” failed to maintain the level. Colonel Abrams released "Bad Timing' produced by Larry From Camoe .He then pursued a more soulful sound, 1992 he released "About Romance" under Acid Jazz Label.
