Another amazing coin from the coin collection i bought today, this coin was from the last year of Louis XVI before he was beheaded in January 1793 with high treason the charge and the guillotine as punishment. This was part of the French revolution and a change into whag became modern europe.

The coin is made from copper and weighs 23g and it is 34mm wide, it features the portrait of Louis XVI which is less than flattering, the other side i am unsure of what the item in the center is but it is surrounded by a wreath.

The coin contains the mint mark BB which was the Strasbourg mint which is in the east of the country on the German border, i cannot find the mintage numbers but if anyone knows please let me know in the comments.

Here is the coin next to another coin i bought today, the coin it is next to is a Victorian silver crown.
