It's been a few weeks since I've done an update of my garden, mainly because I was waiting for the little cacti to grow so I could show the progress in their growth, today it's time to give you that update, so here we go.
This is an ariocarpus, I selected the smallest of all and grafted it to see its growth, for the moment it is growing healthy and almost reaches its siblings in size, in the next few days I will graft more.
These are the brothers, they are still in their roots and have already started to grow tubers, I think I will have to take a macro photograph.
The following pictures are of the geohintonia mexicana, an endangered species of which I sowed 5 seeds, three were born and I was happy, but a couple of days ago another seed was born and we can see the difference in size, they are almost two months apart.
I know everything looks pretty wet I know, but this is how these little guys like to be, the following photos are of astrophytum asterias and I love the shape they have, in fact this is a mix of 100 seeds, let's see what variety they come out of because I actually see them all the same.
The following are the astrophytum capricorne, to be honest I don't like the way they look, I hope they look better as time goes by because at the moment I don't know what to think.
I really like the one below, it is astrophytum asterias v. shinshowa, I think it is growing healthy.
With the lithops I have to be honest and say that I feel like I failed, out of 400 seeds only few have germinated but the ones that were born are growing quite well, now the difficult part is to keep them alive.
And finally my ariocarpus retusus, I am sure you remember when I bought it and made the post, for the moment I see that it is growing quite well and is recovering because when I bought it the hair we see in the center looked pretty ugly, it has already sprouted new hair and looks great, the secret has been to let him bathe with rainwater every 15 days sometimes a little earlier because I don't always beat the rain, it is under the mesh shade and receives 4 hours a day of direct sunlight.
