From our trip back east via HWY 12. I'm torn. It's a lovely drive, but makes for a long goodbye to the great Northwest. If I could repeat again, I'd take I-90/HWY 12 west, and I-84/80 east. The later is quicker, hence, less painful.
Or one could just never leave. That is an option. :)
