How is your Monday coming so far? I hope that we are getting hold of things. We got back much earlier from the farm today. Another morning rain chases us home and it been raining and really cold today. September is the peak of rain here and there is always a downpour almost every single day of this day.
Often times I wish that the rains falls only at night so that it will not disrupt our activities.

The community looks quite all morning, we have very much fewer participants these days as more people are getting busier with their physical activities and have lesser time to blog. Today I worked on these two beautiful dresses for my niece. Ana my sister has outgrown these dresses and was about to trash them when I noticed that they look very much clean enough

I have saved up loads of clothes here which people either bring for repair as they are torn or they just want to discard them. I hate burning fabrics especially when they can still be reworked into something more useful.

Some very buoyant people hardly use cloth more than a few couple of times. Alot of people sell imported thrift. If people can go a long mile to import second hand wears to people around here, we can also do well go recycle what we have and pass it to those who needs them.

Burning lots of clothes all the time can also emit grasses and contribute to the bad weather we experience let's chose to discard clothes only when they are really bad and completely out of use.

I have worked on these two outfit turning their sizes from a larger one to a smaller one that will fit my niece and also taking out any part that is thorn.

I opened up the seamlines and tookout the embroidery

I reworked it to the newer smaller sizes I desired.

Then i created a gathers for the lower part of the dress

Stitched up the seamlines and attached the gathers back to the dress.

Next I created a hemming for the dress

And fixed back the zipper.

The dress was formally a beautiful ball gown with tulle nets but those tulle all got torn and have to be removed, now it's just pure satin for the lower part but still she will find some good use of this for some days.

For the second dress, I didn't remember to take much of a pictures when I got busy with sewing

First I removed the flair and worked it down to a smaller measurements, adjusting the armhole and using an embroidery lace to cover up the torn parts on the neckline

Adjusting the waist line I did some kiss pleats at the midpoint of the dress

I had to purchase newer zippers as the old ones were worn out.

This was I was able to make some cleaner dresses for my niece. School resumed today, she will get wear them later.
