A happy new week to all of our hive family,it's a beautiful Monday morning and we are happy to see the light of a new day and week. The journey of life continues as we are up much early today to get things going. My baby sister resumes school by 7am and this is more of the reasons we have to be early on a Monday morning.
While we have recorded some good success growing garden eggs and the dry season corns for these years, the vegetables are still lagging behind. The little challenge we are currently encountering is getting some quality veggies seeds to cover this place.
Having made some mistakes of not growing our veggies to seeds production phase so that we can preserve some for today you can see that it almost very difficult to get quality vegetables seeds out there.
If you are lucky to be a farmer that grows vegetables the best thing you can do is to always learn to preserve quality seeds. It is not all the time that you want to plant certain crops that you go out to purchase new seeds. Sometimes the seeds in the market get altered and you won't find good ones that will be highly productive.
To wards the latter end of veggies growth they often produce seeds and at such times it is important to let them see these course to the end so that the seeds can be harvested and preserved for next sessions planting. This way one can have some quality seeds to plant well at every season
If one is not fortunate to plant quality seeds, this is exactly what happens, the veggies won't germinate well as you can see, only a handful of veggies germinated among the multitude of seeds scattered here.
Aside that grasses will take over the fields and that's an extra labour to weed of the farm so that the germinated veggies can grow. We are still look for some good seeds to fill up this place rather that planting the one with us that isn't germinating well currently.
