My dad used to say, " Trees that have no fruit to offer stay erect." This is a concept that everyone in the world has trouble dealing with and I won't lie I do too. Sometimes when I doubt myself I start becoming arrogant and start cutting out people or talking to them. There is a colleague at work and she is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met. She talks to everyone and anyone in the same way and is always ready to help. The result everyone adores her.
Why can't be like that in our relationships. Why do we have to be stubborn. We want to win at everything. We want to win in our relationships and in doing so we become anxious and the downward spiral begins. We humans these days are goal driven and when we don't achieve the thing we want, we become anxious. Being humble is not thinking less of yourself, it is thinking less about you.
Being humble helps you to help others and when your purpose is helping others over you, they automatically realize your importance and start to think about you.
Think about water, what does water do, it changes its shape and flow according to the container it is poured into. We can learn so much from water.
Why do we like to talk to our parents? We forget all sorrows and forget everything we are worrying about in a single moment. The reason according to me is that our parents never judge us and they listen to us with all their attention. They are understanding and always accept it. So if our personality becomes like that people would want to talk to us and forget all their sorrows when they do. So let's try to be more humble and make ours and other peoples life great.
