The minds of people are separating from physical bodies every day to roam the digital worlds built on top our laptops, smartphones, cables, servers and slow Wi-Fi signals.
We make money connecting with other minds in the online and offline communities. You can call it: job, hustle, trading, entrepreneurship, startups, micro-entrepreneurship, hosting, pooling, mining, etc.
Sitting on top of the servers are not just software applications but a collective consciousness that it communicating every day. Communication is a synonym to business. That’s why we have lead-generation, marketing, PR, pipelines, etc. We need people to do business.
Interactions of the human minds with other minds were always leading to the basic value exchange. We’re trading creatures. We’re nodes in the giant biological organism projected as a result of server computations interpreting our desires, thoughts, intentions.
Any language is a programming tool; C++, Ruby, Java, English.
We all do business; you can call it a job is still a trade and trade is done through communication.
We’re traveling more, our income can now be independent of our geolocation if we have certain skills. And acquiring those skills takes months but not years. I’m talking about laser focus micro education.
First month you’re on Lynda studying 8 hours a day. Second month you’re a top freelancer on Upwork.
Flashback: But I’m a millennial. I got to use Windows 95 when I started. My brother started with an iPad at 4 years old. In fact he learned typing on the screen faster than he was writting and then he started to use Alexa before he turned 8. He is way beyond Upwork if we look in the future. Will he work using his voice-commands only?
Back to topic: If I’m a digital nomad traveling the world since 16 years old in constant search for a good country to drop an anchor for 6 months - 2 years, imagine the nomadic life of my younger brother in 2027?
I travelled a lot on all the time it’s the same problem. You establish in one country, you find a local community, you join, you go through the cultural shock and adaptation and eventually you leveling up. You were a ‘0’ and now you’re ‘1’. But guess what. Now you might wanna move forward and with moving forward comes alienation from an established bubble into void once again. You’re back to ‘0’. The ’01 dilemma’ as I call it.
If you’re a digital nomad, if you’re a global citizen you always do those jumps just like I did. And some countries and regions give you hard times settling in. For me California was hard. Until I met the coliving culture in September at Startup Launchpad, 2014 in Palo Alto. I met one of my current co-founders then, Gary.
And so since the spring 2015 I’m building communities in San Francisco as Coliving Club and researching the culture of Digital Nomadism. I get inspired with Pieter Levels, open-source and crowd-source projects.
My goal is to create an enclosed decentralized and global eco-system for Digital Nomads with its own cryptocurrency and various tokens in circulation. With its own business born within the network and to serve the needs of it community. A an AI mining bitcoins and ether and automatically trading goods for the profits of the community sounds too good to be true but could be useful. I see the Network of productivity temples and coliving/coworking hubs.
Our path is long and full of friction; the hustle and flame in our hearts beats it all. Currently, Coliving Club has united with Hack’n’Sleep and Startup Launchpad to start the preparations for the ICO. Nothing too official yet. The website has an outdated information.
Obviously we won’t be able to spark an entire project with a single ICO (like we initially planned; there are simply too many steps to be taken to fit them into one block) but I feel like we’re on a right track. Thus we’re regrouping our forces now, repositioning before presenting the new Strategy to the market.
