Some things are just literally what they appear to be. To name something by what it looks like is not always easy though.
It takes an uncluttered mind to see
simple concepts. Everybody looks for complications?
When my daughter was very young we were walking in an autumn woodland when she pointed at a leafless tree and said. "Look daddy a sticky tree!"
As usual she was absolutely right and spot on in her description of said tree.
To her it literally was a tree full of sticks and in fact it was? (As soon as the branches fall of the tree)
How we see and interact with the world is influenced by many things. Home life, schooling and society.
Many people grow up with a set of beliefs and ideas in their heads that they had little or no control over or input into the concepts that rule their lives.
Most people have little or no understanding of where their motivation comes from or why they do
the things they do? Like work/play.
During the pandemic restrictions millions of people have been questioning their lives and have come to the conclusion that they are not in charge of their own lives or brain.
There are many of us in the crypto space and here on the many #hive Dapps that have been actively working on another way of living for a very long time.
But you have to see it for what it is.
Some long term bloggers are fully aware of the potential to get their lives together in this new and different way.
Others just cannot see the wood for the trees. They ability to think carefully and clearly is impaired by their own beliefs, behaviours and biases.
I have many blogger friends and lately they are asking me more often about crypto.
I gave up trying to convince people a long time ago and decided to just show them what is possible with my own actions.
I'm not the most prolific writer but I do what I can. I'm more into video and photography.
The good news. Yes there is light on the horizon. The mind mist is clearing for millions of people.
In the last week 2 people (normies) have asked me about crypto and bitcoin in particular. The pennies are falling from their eyes.
Why is this important? These two people know that I've been in crypto for many years but never asked me for any advice.
One of the people is my daughter's hairdresser!
It reminded me of the time when Rockefeller knew it was time to get out of the stock market when the bell hop was giving him stock tips except this time we are at the beginning of tsunami of new entrants into this little place we call home.
Who do we have to thank for this windfall of new entrants into crypto?
I'm not one for metaphor or allegory but I think this works to illustrate the point.
We can't convince anyone. They have to see it for themselves.
In psychology this is known as a gestalt switch.
Where you suddenly see it for the first time. Once seen it cannot be unseen.
The world you knew is not the same.
What do you think? Are you seeing it shift in people's attitudes to cryptocurrencies?
