It's the dream of many people to sail off into the blue like these people in the sailboat below. It does look idylic and now that we are all multi billionaires; what is stopping you doing just that?
I tend to suffer from seasickness and a cruise around the lake at Windemere is about as much as I can take.
Cruising around the lake is a great way to see a lot of the landscape in a very short period of time and this rainbow hung in the air for ages.
I kept seeing this other little Lake steamer in the far distance and tried to capture it a few times.
We didn't get any closer to the steamer so had to make do with cropping the image to give you a view of it.
The Lake district is a fabulous place to visit. The scenery is stunning and we had a great time. The weather played nicely too. Cloudy skies and rays of sunlight. Rain and rainbows. All in all a great day for any aspiring photographer.
