Hey guys! I wasn't sure what to blog about today so I decided to make a post about the game, genshin impact. This is about the 2.7 update delay for anyone who's interested (:
So if you haven't heard already, the reason for this sudden delay is because of the increased covid restrictions in Shanghai, China. This is where most hoyoverse employees live. The situation of when we'll get the update is still very uncertain, however there's some speculation that it will be released in late May or June. However, there is not really any way to tell as it depends how the covid situation in China goes, whether positive or negative, this will impact Genshin Impact development speed.
So for now we're stuck with 2.6 update and Ayaka's banner has been extended. This is good news for people who are saving up for Ayaka, as they now have more time to save up primogems. She's also an amazing unit, at the moment an ss+ tier dps. I have her myself and I definitely recommend trying to pull her if you're in need of a cryo sword main dps user, or just enjoy her design and playstyle. Her banner used to say "Time Remaining: 240+ days" 😅 However this number isn't true at all, they just picked a random number which is far away from now. However, I think this freaked out a lot of genshin players so they changed it to "Time Remaining: When 2.6 ends" As seen here:

This is also good news for people who are interested in the amazing 5 star sword mistsplitter! This is such a great weapon because it's universal, probably the best sword in the game at the moment actually. You'll now have more time to save. I was debating myself whether I should pull for this weapon (I dont use any 5 star weapons at the moment, so it would be a huge upgrade for my acc.) However, I'm too scared that I'm gonna pull the unforged claymore with my bad luck. I don't use any claymore characters and I don't really enjoy playing with this type of weapon either, so it would be a waste of gems if I got it. Not sure if I should yolo it or not, still deciding 👀
Even if you're not interested in pulling for Ayaka or the Mistsplitter, the delay isn't such bad news as you have more time to save for Yelan (the new 2.7 update character) or any other future banner characters. There's some leaks I heard that Itto and Xiao will be getting reruns in 2.7. I'm personally not interested in any of the 2.7 characters, but I have time to save for other future characters after 2.7 as well (:
This also gives me more time to explore the chasm. I haven't really started yet to be honest, as I've been quite busy irl. I might even blog about the area once I do. Who knows, I'll see 😛
