Just as the world is revolving so also is fashion. To me, nowadays fashion trend is just a recycle of the past, just like the Bible says "there is nothing new under the sun", so there's nothing new in fashion again, just recycling of old fashion to new concepts which are filled with lot of crazy creativities.
In the olden days, the manner of dressing was modest neither provocative nor revealing, people dressed elegantly to appear gorgeous. Seeing some old pictures of my Grandma and Mom makes me wonder how come the world has turn to a place of immodesty, hardly will you walk within your place of residence and see people dress moderately.
Today you see lots of sexy outfits most especially in parties and you have no choice than to look away because the essence of wearing clothes has been abused. Nudity has taken over the world all in the name of fashion and nothing can be done to it because majority of people who dresses provocatively all calms they owns their body and are convenient in whatsoever they wear whether skimpy or not. Therefore, it's a free world so its very important to respect people's choice when it comes to dressing even if it doesn't align with yours.
Fashion trends are numerous, from clothings, to hairstyling, to beautification of body parts etc there are just so many ways one can use to adorn oneself. However, there are some fashion trends that seems unnecessary to me which I believe should be eliminated
Body Surgeries
I'm not against having body surgeries at all, for example someone having abnormal skin conditions, improper growth in one body part or someone involved in an accident will definitely have to go for surgeries so as to reconstruct the damage parts.
But nowadays the reverse is the case, many people go for body surgeries for pleasure most especially the so call Celebrities. They are the major problem of the world now, they tend to influence people on what to do and not to do with their body. This has now become the order of the day for ladies who are their followers and are also ashamed of how their creator created them.
Liposuction, facial/body reconstruction, breast enlargement etc is now the current fashion trend.
Some individuals that doesn't have enough money to go for surgeries uses pills to get their desired figure 8. Please how on earth will someone wake up and decide to go for body surgeries all in the name of fashion so as to boost self confidence or because they want to look like their favorite celebrities.
They fail to understand the risk behind these surgeries which might be infections, cancer or even death. There are lot of people that had died on the surgical table all in the name of body reconstruction and lot are still trooping in for the same surgery, it just weird to me!
Fixing Eye Contact
I never admire this eye contact for a second, why will I like my eyes to look like that of a cat for what??
Excuse me.....I'm a human being, a being created in God's image and likeness, so why tampering with my organ of vision in which I have the understanding that once it's damaged I might not be luck to see with it again.
I never understand the concept behind this fashion trend and I don't want to understand it because it's crazy, disturbing and scary to me in which I don't see any need for it to enhance any beauty. In the process of fixing the contact, there might be accident that could lead to severe eye injury or even permanent blindness.
Lots of people have forgotten that the eyes is the light of the body. I don't know why we like to inconvenient ourselves all in the name of fashion, so why engaging in an act that might render your delicate organ useless for life?
I believe in modesty because too much of everything is bad. So it is essential to know the kind of fashion concept you engage in so as not to be detrimental to your health. Simplicity is the best sophistication
