Yesterday I painted this lighthouse and posted the process here
There were few things I was not happy about it. The waves not quite blended, splash was too big and the lighthouse which was white ... Also the patchy clouds.
So I decided to fix the painting before redoing it. That saves a paper 😁
What I could do here was to make the sky darker so to give one more layer of darker shade and it will make it less patchy. That worked really well. But I messed up shape of the tower. Should have been more careful about the edges.
Added a spiral design to the tower instead of full red. That made it unique and also helped to keep it lighter tone than the contrasting dark waves and sky.
The choppy waters couldn't be handled but the splash was made smaller to match the other waves in the sea. It worked better.
Forgot to blend the waves a bit more.. but overall happy with the work.. I could save a paper and then paint something else.
I don't like painting anything twice 😁
