The legendary Ferrari F40 stirs automative emotions like no other car ever has, so it is fitting that on Valentine's Day, I pay a tribute to a beautiful car that I have loved ever since I was a boy...
The Ferrari F40 is special super car in many respect including:
(i) comissioned to celebrate Ferrari's 40th Anniversary
(ii) last Ferrari to be personally approved by the great founder himself Enzo Ferrari before his death
(iii) the first ever road legal car in the world to break the 200mph speed, when it debut in 1987
My love for the F40 goes back over 30 years and those who knew me, would attest to the fact that my bedroom used to be literally a shrine to this car!
I must have spent a small fortune in draping my bedroom with wall to wall posters of the Ferrari F40 from every angle!
I have also lost count of the endless hours spent living out my fantasy of driving the F40 in video games of the late 1980's, including Test Drive 2 and Sega's Turbo Outrun :)
Timeless and elegant, the Ferrari F40 will always be dear to my heart and have aspiration to at least experience driving one...if not own one in my lifetime ;-)
