trying to upvote other accounts but doesnt do anything and my posts are going down in value, any help??

Hey everyone, hope your all having a great day.

Ok so i havnt been using steemit for long and have been enjoying my experience however, every time i try and upvote other peoples content that i can relate to or feel its worthy of my upvote, nothing changes and also my previous posts are rapidly going down whihc i find very odd and quite worrying to say the least. If anyone can helpo me understand why or having similar issues then please feel free to comment down below.
