Family is one thing that a person is blessed with I am glad to be part of a family that understands and is always there to take you up.
For the ladies of hive contest, the second question got to me real good, because these past few months have been so challenging for me as a woman, there are times when it is so hard to even feed the kids with good meals and there are times when I would just have to rack my brain in possible solutions to the problem at hand.
Before I thought of doing this business I am currently doing I used to work for a particular woman, though she was kind to me at first, I usually errand for her, and at the end of the day she would pay me for the work done and the pay wasn't so much, I just had to manage it and continue working for her until one day when she accused me of sleeping with her husband because I had gone to her house to wait for her to arrive from where she went to, I didn't have a phone then to call her because a phone was like a big money issue for me.
That day she rained curses at me as if she had the intentions before, I went home and cried my eyes out because there was nothing I could do.
When my husband arrived from his job after three days the incident happened, I told him all that transpired and he consoled me, at that time I didn't have anything to do, I was sleeping and waking up like a lifeless person, some days I had to keep my daughter at home because I couldn't afford to give her a meal to take to school, I wasn't earning anymore, I was so devasted, I felt like my soul and body was crumbling down.
But through it all, my husband always encouraged me to be calm and he said I should put my hope in God and just like that, one day we sat outside our house when I saw a woman passing by, struggling with her children's lunch bag, Andi could see that she was dressed for work and I just overlooked it.
Then I saw my husband stand and approach her, though she looked like she was hurting somewhere, just as they were talking my husband pointed at me and the woman looked my way and she nodded, and with a smile they both approached me and that was how I came about this business I am currently running.
So in essence when I am down and have no hope at all, all I do is pray and also I don't keep quiet about any situation that I am facing I make it known especially to my family, and in a way, they help out and from there I see hope.
Even though that woman was my first client, I was able to get other clients from her and so on.
I didn't have money to buy a phone then, so my husband borrowed me his, when people messaged me through his phone, he found a way to communicate it to me through a neighbor.
So I am saying is that the silver lining for me comes when I get support from family, I am being trusted by my husband and he sees potential in me. Even my street neighbor that introduced Hive to me, it was because she saw how I was struggling, though I am not earning much yet but I am happy that I didn't give up at that moment.
Family and prayer, looking up to God with hard work is a thing I can never give up on
