Grasshoppers are herbivorous insects from the suborder Caelifera of the order Orthoptera. These insects have antennae that are almost always shorter than their body and also have a short ovipositor.

The sound produced by some grasshopper species is usually produced by rubbing their rear femur against their forewings or abdomen (called stridulation), or by flapping their wings in flight. The hind femur is generally long and strong which is suitable for jumping.

These insects generally have wings, although sometimes they cannot be used for flight. Female grasshoppers are generally larger than male grasshoppers.

Grasshoppers prefer open, moist areas with lots of grass and other low vegetation, although some other species live in forests or wilderness. Others are on cliffs, soil, and rocks moist, mossy and eating moss.

Many grasshopper species that live in grasslands often attack nearby farmers' fields. Excess population of grasshoppers will be very detrimental to farmers if they attack crops in plantations.

Furthermore, the grasshoppers are put in water for 24 hours, then they can be eaten raw or by boiling, drying in the sun, fried, given spices such as garlic, onions, chilies, given lime juice, and used in soup or as an ingredient. filler. across a variety of dishes.
