Zyriel - First Multi Element Splinterlands Card - Yay or Nay?

It's finally here! For the first time ever, Splinterlands now has a multi element card!
Introducing Zyriel the Fallen. A good summary from the Official Splinterlands post is as follows:
Harnessing the divine might of the celestials and the demonic forces of Mortis Deep, Zyriel is the first of her kind: a dual-element card that straddles the boundary between Life and Death. Experience her fall from grace and journey to redemption, and get ready for a whole new chapter in the lore and gameplay of Splinterlands!
Let's go over some Yays or Nays this time to see what we like and dislike about this promo card.
Yay
Versatility
Being the first ever multi element card sets a good precedent on what to expect and be hopeful about for future editions or releases. While a light and death combo card might not be what most people would like, it does give good options to your lineup and that will never be a bad thing.
Ability
Let's take a look at Zyriel's abilities below. First thing to note is that this will be the first card outside of the soulbound reward cards to have the Weapons Training ability. It opens up a lot of possibilities as it can combo with soulbound legendaries in Aves Sturgis or Skok Duskblight respectively. Double weapons training might be a good meta to consider if you have Zyriel on your deck.
Life leech is also something really good for Zyriel since she is a ranged type monster, she is going to be in the backline unless you have the Close Range ruleset. Since max level does a whopping 5 damage, her HP can end up being quite significant after a few rounds.
Her last 2 abilities are Divine Shield and Rust. I won't touch on Divine Shield much as that's more self explanatory but Rust could also be a game changer as there aren't that many high mana monsters with this ability. Rust is very important on the higher levels and can potentially counter summoners like Grandmaster Rathe.

Scarcity
Splinterlands has a lot of things on their plate and they aren't giving us any time to breathe between all the updates that are happening. Zyriel is looking to become a very scarce card. Top level players will want a piece of this pie as it provides significant options and advantages. For example, pairing this card with Almo Cambio or Clockwork Aide introduces options for the backline to get more hits in and tank sneak attacks.
Sale details below.
Zyriel will be a Legendary Life/Death Monster card, and a total of 15,000 single-BCX Zyriel cards will be available for purchase in the Splinterlands shop starting on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 at 4:00 PM ET / 20:00 UTC and the sale will run for 30 days or until the cards sell out, whichever comes first.
Nay
Cost
We mentioned that this will be a card that'll be hard to come by and aside from the scarcity, it comes with a hefty price tag. See details below.
The base purchase price for each single-BCX Zyriel card will be 80,000 DEC or Credits, and players may receive up to a 50% discount on the purchase price by spending VOUCHER tokens at a rate of $0.25 per VOUCHER token spent. Please note that DEC-B tokens will not be able to be used for promo card purchases and that purchases of the promo card using Credits will not be eligible for referral payments.
Ouch! That is quite hefty price tag and while the card is good, this might deter those who are on the fence about getting it. If we just consider DEC at peg and assuming we're using vouchers, that's $40 per bcx with a total cost of $440 and we'd still need to consider voucher prices on top of that. Voucher prices have already spiked since the release of Zyriel's details and might continue to go up until the sale happens.
Summoner/Monster Option
The other option I was thinking about was that since this is a first ever type of card, rather than having it as a monster, having it as a summoner would have been even more amazing and impactful. Splinterlands might have more plans down the line with either their mini pack announcement from the previous Town Hall with maybe summoner introductions of multi element cards but we'll have to wait and see. If this were a summoner though, FOMO would be quite significant as I'd think of ways to try to get it as much as possible. The artwork at the very least would be summoner material for sure.

Overall, we can all agree that it's an amazing card to have in your arsenal to expand options further and pair up with a double weapons training lineup. However, the scarcity together with the hefty price tag makes this card out of reach of most players and would be something top level players will be looking to get instead.
What do you think? Will you be getting Zyriel for yourself?
