Hello again fellow steemions
Today I thought I'd share some useful information that may come in handy if you ever find yourself brokedown on the side of the road.
Mechanical resources
As some of the wonderful steemit community may know I do a great deal of Mechanic work. Mostly at people's homes or work, but occasionally I have someone shout for help on the side of the road. In this case its one I thought would provide useful information you may not have known.
Today I had an unexpected call. You see, I do my absolute best to fix it right the first time. So when I complete a job and received a call a few days later about "something going wrong" I find it to sometimes be quite discouraging. Not to give up though I work that much more diligently to keep a future problem from reoccurring. Fortunately in this case it was product failure. Well fortunately for my work anyway... But terrible timing. Which seems to always be the case.
Well I guess I'm rambling so back to the story...
Customer calls with an erratic throttle response which I thought I fixed RIGHT! Now he's 3 hours away on the side of the road. Well I know for anybody in that situation it can get very expensive, but fortunately in this situation my customer was willing to be walked step by step through check procedures to verify diagnosis. Then we verified his location and called a local parts delivery store and had them deliver the part and tools to his location. I then walked him through replacement. Well here's the best part. All of this can be done free. Yes you read right! FREE!!! If you're ever stranded during normal delivery hours near an auto parts store they will deliver and rent tools free of charge. Occasionally you may have to give them something to show good faith until you get back to the store because they cannot wait ,but you'll get it back as soon as your finished.
Ending result
Well as soon as he finished up he was back on the road. An this time it worked correctly. The customer is happy I'm relieved and we both got our to do list complete. So hopefully some of you find this useful or at least I hope you do...
Well anyways I'll be headed off again and as always thank you for reading, following, upvoting, and resteeming.
Signing off this is
Hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless!
Just like sharing the sunset. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
