Hello friends, my name is Tio. This is my first post about anime. I want to share my own opinion about an anime that I have finished watching. I hope you enjoy with my review, and that it can serve as a consideration for you to try watching this anime.
Honestly I didn't think i'd be into ballroom e youkoso when I first heard about it. The idea about ballroom dancing as the main theme sounded a bit odd, and I had my doubts about the story. But after finishing all 24 episodes, this anime far exceeded my expectations. Ballroom e Youkoso is not just about dancing, it talks about search for identity, ambition, self confidence, and perseverance in the face of limitations.
Tatara Fujita is the main character of this anime, he is an ordinary high school student who initially doesn’t even know what he wants to do in his life. From this ignorance that the story begins. Tatara's journey is very human, it starts from feelings of insecurity and awkwardness, until he eventually grows into someone who believes in himself. It is truly enjoyable to follow his character development from episode to episode.
Watching Tatara to learn dance feels like watching someone gradually discover their "true self" in a world full competition. Tatara might not be the best dancer out there, but the way he pushes himself and turns his small strenghts into big wins really caught my attention.
The most surprising thing about this anime is how the dancing is presented. I.G studio Production successfully transforms every competition into something dramatic and full of tension, as if watching a major sports event. The movements characters, their facial expressions, and the emotional undercurrents behind every dance step all feel alive and touching. I thoroughly enjoyed each episode of this anime.
The music also greatly supports the atmosphere. There are certain moments that really manage to uplift the spirit just because of the combination between the animation and its soundtrack that is so well integrated.
Not only Tatara is interesting. Supporting characters like Hyoudou, Sengoku, Shizuku, Mako, and Kiyoharu have their own depth of story. Each person comes with personal motivations and conflicts that enrich the narrative.
One of the strong elements in this anime is the dynamics between the dance partners. Their relationships are not always harmonious and tend to be complicated. But that is where the beauty lies. Cooperation on stage is often not easy as it seems.
Although the story feels somewhat unfinished at the end of episode 24, there is sense of satisfaction after watching it. The journey of main character feels very meaningful, and there is hope that the story can continue, whether through a second season or through the manga.
Ballroom e Youkoso was a pleasant surprise for me. For those looking for an anime with developing characters, strong emotional conflicts, and visuals that differ from most anime, this is definitely worth watching. You don’t need to love dancing to enjoy it, just watch and let the story speak for itself.

Who is Nur Satrio ?
Hi, I'm Tio, a lover of stories, whether written on the pages of a book, presented in adventurous games, or engraved in the incredibly beautiful nature of Indonesia. In my free time, I like to immerse myself in fictional worlds, build small worlds by assembling Gundam models, and explore new places that offer fresh air and soothing views.
For me, life is not about how fast we run, but how much beauty we get to enjoy along the way. I believe that every book has a universe, every journey has a story, and every second we spend in nature is a quiet expression of gratitude that calms the heart.
