Encountering this dragonfly having a rest along the pathway was a chance I could not pass up. They are the insects that fascinate me the most, the masters of the sky in the insect world. Probably among the largest insects you can encounter in this part of Canada. They only have a few short months in the summer weather to thrive. Many times they might be too busy moving from place to place, but when I find them still like this, it's my chance to get closer and study them a little more before their next adventure.
