A flower often used for ornamental purposes, they tend to grow lower to the ground, which helps make them a popular choice for flower beds or rock gardens. The English daisy is also toxic to both humans and animals when ingested, although at one time it was thought of as being good for various medicinal uses, including as a diuretic and anti-inflammatory agent; it sees very rare use today. I enjoy the pointy details of the center and think of them as a great candidate for macro photography anytime I see them.
