A year ago I was working with an Engineering firm which focused mostly on how to best maintain the quality of Telecommunication networks in our area. They hired me as an internee Engineer and I started working very hard in pursuance of a permanent slot in the firm but after six months I found it that the senior engineer had fired me from the firm.

What was the reason?
When I went to find out the reason, some of my friends in the firm told me that the lazy senior engineer was jealous of you since he was insecure about his position being taken by you. I was very sad and told them that my senior engineer had more than 5 years experience and I am being new in the firm cannot get the slot he is acquiring but they blamed my removal on my hard work.
After another six months?
I heard that the same senior engineer who had fired me was fired too. The reason was his intention to get manager slot in the firm. The manager fired him and hired another guy. When my friend told me this new, I just said one line,” As you sow, so shall you reap”.
Professional jealousy is not bad but targetting someone and becoming a hurdle in someone’s progress is a really bad thing. I am jobless since that time and that senior engineer now working at a very junior level with much lesser salary and incentives.
