There are moments in our lives that will forever remain in our life because they came when we needed them the most. One of those moments happened to me few years ago. I had just finished my university education and was just trying to get busy as I wait for my NYSC. I was still hanging around the school environment, but my lodge rent has almost expired and my landlady had also reminded me of renewal or vacating the room. To cut the story short I was given a deadline to leave. The money I had was very little to pay the rent and start a POS agents business I was planning to start.
Then After during one of our church programs on that Sunday, I was exchanging greetings with a fellow member, and I chipped in my challenge to her, and to my greatest surprise, she offered me a place to stay without anything in return. As if that was not enough, she leased me one of her brother's shop to start the business without paying a dime.
I was speechless, i mean in the part of the world where nothing is free? Where everything comes with a price. Yet I received that kind of kindness. That reminded me that good and kind people still exist.
Whenever I think about that kindness, my heart is filled with gratitude. It reminds me that blessings often come through people, and that we should never underestimate the impact of lending a helping hand.
My greatest hope is that one day I'll be in a position to do the same for someone else. If I can give another person the same hope and encouragement that was given to me, I'll know that the kindness I received has come full circle.
