Honestly, this week prompt just answered the question for me even before I sat down to write.
Friday alone had me in three places at once. I had my pupils test waiting to be marked, video clips from my YouTube faceless channel waiting to be edited and at home? the laundry pilling up and I hadn't eaten anything proper before then other than snacks and drinks whenever I remembered to eat.
I started with the house, I needed clean work clothes for the new week and honestly my body was tired of junk, I needed properly homemade food. Then the test, my pupils needed those marked, no negotiation about that.
By the time I got to video editing, I was already running on empty . I still had to go through my pupils recorded scripts and arrange them before I could even start editing . And Friday wasn't enough day for all that.
It rolled into Saturday. And honestly that's my small win. Not that I did it all in one day, because I didn't. The win is that nothing broke. The tests got marked, the video eventually got edited, my family still had food to eat and the clothes were also washed. Everyone had to wait for it's turn.
So if you ask me how I balance them all, I'd say I don't, not really. I just keep doing what's loudest first and trust that others will be done when I get o them. I think it's just knowing what needs me at the moment and not what has to wait.
Thanks for this prompt @jane1289
