Cherry blossoms started blooming beautifully in Osaka last week and are in full bloom now! I think this time is really the best to appreciate them. Even though I’m not planning to go cherry blossom viewing this year, I can’t wait to visit a local park, enjoy some bread, and soak in the beauty of the sakura cherry blossom. It might be a bit of a lonely hanami, but I’ve come to enjoy the peacefulness of experiencing the cherry blossoms on my own.
In my garden, the camellias are also showing off their stunning blooms! I have many different types, and seeing them pop up this time of year is always a delight. Each variety of flowers is at its own pace and in lovely colors. My garden will be a mosaic of vibrant flowers for the next couple of weeks, making it such a beautiful season.
The other day, I visited a grave with my family to tidy up my dog’s resting place. Afterward, we shared a meal at one of our favorite restaurants in memory of my father. It’s hard to believe it’s been 16 years since he passed away; time really flies.
The plums in my garden have bloomed and are now shedding their flowers, making way for fresh young leaves. The persimmon trees are starting to sprout new foliage, too!
The spring haze still surrounds Osaka, but the yellow sand has become much lighter, which is refreshing.
So, that’s a little peek into my daily life here in Osaka. Now, let’s dive into some studying!
先週から大阪でもサクラがきれいに咲き始めました。今は満開で、ここ数日が最高の時期だと思います。今年は花見に行くと言うことはしないのですが、地元の公園に行ってパンを食べてサクラを楽しもうとは思っています。なんか、さみしい花見ですが、一人でゆっくりサクラを愛でるのも悪くないなと思うようになってきました。
庭のツバキも満開です。私の庭にはツバキをたくさん植えていて、毎年この時期に咲くのを楽しみにしています。全て違う種類のツバキを植えていて、咲く時期も、花の色も違います。あと２週間程度は庭は花で包まれてきれいな季節になりました。
先日、家族でお墓参りにいってきました。私の愛犬のお墓にもお懇ろにきれいに掃除をしました。お墓参りのあとは皆で父をしのいで、お気に入りだった食堂で食事をしました。父も他界して16年も経過するのかぁと改めて時間の経過にびっくりしています。
庭のスモモも満開でしたが、今は花は散り始め若葉が開花しています。柿の木も若葉が芽吹き始めました。
春霞が続く大阪ですが、黄砂はだいぶんましになってきました。
こんな、私の大阪での日常です。さて、勉強しよう。
