This place was discovered in 1745 by baba when he went out to hunt for animals
It’s always been recorded that gura falls and river was named after two gods that were worshipped by the people of Gwari named Gura And RaRa.And the people who lived around this water fall would always go to pray and worship it any time they had problems they couldn’t solve.But this pratice stopped when this place was discovered by Europeans because they turned it into a recreational area.
This beautiful place is even more impressive after the rainy season when the water becomes raging torrent.But then when it’s january during dry season,the water levels are low and there are clear poles under the bottom where people can swim and have fun.
Apart from this place been lovely and cool for tourism and fun,there’s an area around this water fall where you can watch birds.
This river has great potential for fishing and wild life viewing,pictures taking(lovely pictures) lol and it’s there’s an area down the river channel where you can find crocodiles in there habitat isn’t that awesome??? Dangerous ofcourse but awesome.
It’s more advisable to swim during January-March during dry season when the river is calm.
The surrounding is filled with lots of trees and shurubby providing healing fresh oxygen isn’t this lovely,when the sun shines the water falls is as beautiful as fire works.Now there are more lovely things about this place.Yes my country is beautiful and has lovely places you should take a look at.
