How many times did you feel that current is week is same as previous one. Only difference is weather outside. How many times you couldn't remember what did you do last Tuesday, because it was so similar to any other day. How many times did you feel frustrated, that you're life is passing by, while you sit behind your desk and do artificial work. I felt that many, many times. And many times, I tried to do so many things during the weekend, that I felt frustrated anytime I didn't achieve all my goals. I also tried to change my current situation, by generating ‘brilliant’ ideas for business, which I hoped change my life. No matter how good was the idea, I still work from 8 to 5, and still try to change something.
As people should learn on their mistakes, I started to write down what was wrong. From as obvious as lack of experience and money, I noticed one pattern. After beginning, when I’m willing to sacrifice my free time and sleep less, just to work on my idea, come time, when I really feel that I force myself to work on it. And I think, two things play main role here. First one is, that I want to do too much at once, and achieve goal very quickly. Because of that, something which should give me satisfaction, quickly start to give me a headache. Second, which is really important in further stage, is lack of routine. Or maybe I shall say, that current routine is too strong. I think that's two key factors.
When you try to do too much, you can't see the finish line. Also it harder to achieve small goals.
To change routine it's even harder. You need to plan it well and introduce discipline to your life. And just practice and practice. You will know that you succeed, when you start to do things without thinking about it. And also, if you skip something, you will feel that you miss it.
I was able to do it with running, but basic example can be teeth brushing. It's just part of the routine, right. We don't think about it anymore. We even tend to think about something else, when brushing our teeth. Which is bad habit, but this is topic for separate post ;)
So, did I really learn something on my mistakes?
You tell me. From moment I started this blog, I try to write one post, only one post every week. So it will become my habit and won't overwhelm me.
Also, I've changed my mindset. I stopped to think about other when writing post. I just try to enjoy and improve my writing. I still feel it’s really hmm not smooth.
So in summary, I can say that if you want to change something in your life, start with plan. Plan small steps, try to see bigger picture. One post per week seems like nothing, but after year it's more than 52 posts. And those are published only. So small steps, small targets and try to learn from everything. From success, failures, critics. Be more like a kid, stubborn, open minded and curious of everything new.
Thank you and slightly late Happy Easter ;)
