Participating in HIVE Blitz Arena

As strange as it may seem, Saturday is a very busy day for me. But yesterday I was finally able to free up the evening and take part in the HIVE Blitz Arena tournament. At the time of the start, my rating was the lowest among the participants. Looking at the rating of the club members, I modestly expected to enjoy the game itself and try to win at least one game.

The first match was pretty funny. I started a kind of confused debut. My partner and I made a lot of mistakes. In general, my mistakes turned out to be less fatal.

In the next match, I got a more serious opponent. In the middle of the game it was not possible to maintain balance, but in the endgame I lost control of the game and missed the opportunity for a happy ending of the game.





The third match turned out to be quite tense. I had a heavy closed position.





The opponent had a clear advantage, but made several mistakes as a result of which I managed to gain an advantage. The position looked completely different.

The next match I played was with maestro @stayoutoftherz. The game, as happens in blitz, was two-edged. The position looked fabulous. Unfortunately, I lost this match.

In the last match of the tournament, I relaxed. At the very beginning of the game, I simply blundered a piece. There was no point in further resistance...

In general, as a result, I got great pleasure from participating in the tournament.
