Greetings to all chessfans. Here's another game again I played at chess.com with my comments. This game was fun and I won by trapping the opponent's queen.
The game started with 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6
Not a fan of the Petroff so I'll insist on the Italian Opening. 3. Nc3 Nc6 4. Bc4 Bc5 5. d3 d6 6. O-O Bg4 7. Nd5 h6 8. c3
The last move was to prevent the opponent's knight from jumping to d4 which can get annoying with my own knight on f3 pinned. 8. ...a6 9. h3 Bh5 10. a4 Nxd5 11. Bxd5 O-O 12. g4 Bg6 13. Be3 Ba7
My last two moves were made to diminish the activity of the opponent's bishops. Now I can start my own threats. 14. Qd2 Qf6 15. Kg2 Rab8 16. g5
A nice move to break open Black's king side with the follow up gxh6 but my opponent made a mistake in taking it. 16. ...hxg5 17. Bxg5
Traps the opponent's queen! He should resign at this point but he chose to play on. 17. ...Qxf3+ 18. Kxf3 Nd8 19. Kg2 c6 20. Bb3 b5 21. a5 Ne6 22. Be3 c5 23. f4 exf4 24. Bxf4 Nxf4+ 25. Rxf4 Rbd8 26. Raf1 Rd7 27. Qe2 Bb8 28. Qg4
A neat trick that wins another piece. The queen threatens both the rook on d7 and the bishop on g6. Black cannot recapture on g6 because his pawn on f7 is pinned. 28. ...Kh7 29. Qxd7 { White wins. } 1-0
