I prefer older bikes to work on, more simple, less to go wrong, and parts are not difficult to find for most of them.
Newer bikes just like cars have been made so it is more difficult for the home spanner people or home mechanics to be able to fix.
A lot of my bikes are also 2 stroke, and that makes them even more simple to fix.
