Good afternoon fine people of hive.
This build I have been doing for a few weeks now.
It is a Montesa of 1978 vintage, and a Cota 348.
I am still waiting for parts to arrive from Spain to complete it, parts like fork seals, front and back new fenders or mudguards if you are in the EU.
I have a new cover for it as below, I just have to paint Malcolm Rathmell on it in gold paint. It is his signature series bike so ltd edition. Not done that before, so first time for everything, I need to get my steady hand on.
And the signature, hope you can see it.
I have parts coming all the way from the USA for it too, new rear shock absorbers, and originals, possibly the last pair of new old stock items in the world.
I look forward to showing you the complete bike next week.
I bought this little Montesa below also today, so that will be my next restoration, it is for my daughter and Wife to ride, and quite safe at only 50cc.
