The other day I browsed among old photos on one external hard disc. I am not sure why I even did that as I could spend hours in that activity - only if I would have that time... The super full schedule is not enough for some basic things (please don't ask does my apartment urgently need cleaning).
Anyway, I enjoyed seeing some moments from the past and I found photos from the time when my son was still so little. Also, photos with friends, family and those four-legged creatures that we consider family members. Cats and dogs.
We have always had cats and at least one dog at the same time. They were always close to us and well-pampered, they had all they had to have. Let's see the example of these three guys. So "hard" life they had... Sleep, cuddles, sleep, play, eat, sleep, repeat. One of the couches in my parent's house was reserved only for them. Like real VICs (very important cats), as most cats are in families... they lived happy lives.
The white-ginger fluffy cat was the mom of the other two. Brush, it was her name. She was the daughter of one of our cats, a domestic one who seems that found a long-haired boyfriend for herself. Brush was so friendly, she liked cuddles and climbing to my mom's shoulder. She sometimes climbed onto my shoulder too, but to be honest it was the favourite cat of my mother.
Seems that she was allowed also to walk between the Xmas decoration. Hmm, maybe we are all wrong thinking that it is Santa bringing presents...
Here is the real Santa Claus!!! The secret is now brought to light, we caught her!
She realized that we had revealed her identity... she peeked from one side to see if she could escape.
Then she peeked from the other side too, to go unnoticed.
She was a good cat, we loved her. She had kitties just once, those you see in the photo where they sleep on the couch. Unfortunately, some serious complications happened when she was about to give birth to babies the next time. The kitties didn't survive in her womb and it was a miracle that the vets saved Brush. She immediately went under surgery and was recovering for a few days or weeks.
Her son, Tiger stayed with her, they were inseparable. (The grey one, unfortunately, passed away, it lived less than one year, so Brush and Tiger formed a real team). They used to explore and bring home hunting prey together. Mouses, lizards, birds...
Though sometimes he liked to play the piano too, maybe the mom didn't have a talent for music so she let him with the keys. Oh, well, on the top of the keys. I think Brush would not be so happy seeing the results - paying for piano lessons that were spent in this way... zzzzzzzzzz
At least he tried to open his eyes sometimes and pretend to pay attention to the lesson and learn something. Or he was maybe searching for his mom to sing the cat duet 馃幎 . He heard one singer performing it with her mother, so he got the same idea. Meeeeeow 馃幎
Singing and piano lessons are difficult, and the hunting time is too. Why not take a rest?
As already mentioned, they were inseparable almost until their last day... {sigh}
It was Brush who went missing one day, she just disappeared. We are sure that someone took her as she was friendly, letting herself be cuddled by the people on the street. The whole family was sad, Tiger too. But it was not the end of that sad story. As they were always together, Tiger was a bit lost without his mom. My sister found him a few days later on the regional road that is close to my parent's home... a car hit him. {sigh and tears} 馃様
This post was not planned to finish in this sad tone. I know cats go missing and accidents happen and then we always say no more cats... until the next little kitty appears. These ones were just a few of the many cats we have had in the family. As you see, they had some musical talents and a secret identity :))
