Claude Debussy was a French composer who lived from 1862 to 1918. He is considered as the first Impressionist composer. This composition that I perform ( in a concert nine years ago) is the first from the series Images, and it was composed in 1905. The new tone colors that Debussy discovered are clearly heard in this piece. I have some missed notes 😊 but that is the live performance risk that we take when perform.
