I would say that the world never expected it, but we always expected it of ourselves. The those around us came to expect that because they were always given that.

As the wealth divide continues to grow I fear that even more of us will become trapped in poverty too. In many ways it's a luxury that we've been able to fight for more rights over the last century, but will we once again only be at a point where we are too busy fighting to survive too move forward any more.
