The Joy Of Giving by trucklife-family@trucklife-family

The gift of human connection, the greatest gift of them all!

most importantly, is the gift we can give someone of ourselves and no that does not mean sexually (although with the right person, it very well, maybe). Instead, it is the gift of being present for someone, standing by them, and listening to them. Opening up to them and really seeing them, coming from the heart.

An overthinker's gift-giving strategy by drivingindevon@drivingindevon

I think gifts should be more useful in nature rather than for show.

So most of the time I try to buy something practical that the other party can actually use. Be it a nice sweater, an expensive bag, nice perfumes or even art supplies. So whenever I鈥檓 out gift hunting, I try to think about their needs, what they like to use in their everyday life, and what they might appreciate. From there I get onto filling up my mental chart, and then, I pick out the best option and stick with it.

Gift-giving anxiety? Nope, never heard of it! by simplifylife@simplifylife

My minimalist way of countering any form of anxiety is I keep the planning part very simple.

I don't go out of my means to buy gifts I can not afford of course, but I am not too stingy either. So unless the person I am buying gifts for is very close to me, I stick to some general principles.

Dealing With Gift-giving Anxiety by graciousvic@graciousvic

Get what you capable of

You actually don't have to spend everything on yourself to impress someone. If they are genuinely close to you, they should understand better. Give the little you have, and the intentions of that offering, that's what truly counts.
You shouldn't give up and start moaning or regretting what you did.

The freedom of my feelings by abisag@abisag

An outstanding characteristic that defines a minimalist person is a freedom.

We are free from paradigms, schemes and patterns that come from society and that pleasure we feel for not being slaves of an indifferent and apathetic yoke gives us happiness. However, sometimes we are slaves of ourselves when we do not display the beautiful feelings we experience.

Minimalist giving, simple living by teknon@teknon

Gift giving to me isn't a mandatory thing but something that should come out of the abundance of the heart.

There should be no pressure attached.
Giving gifts doesn't prove love in my opinion because I've seen people give gifts yet have bitter hatred and bad intentions in their hearts toward the same individual given the gift.
I do things according to my budget and any impromptu gift giving is always left unattended.

Cheap & Cheerful by riz611@riz611

You have to love how simple life used to be when we were kids, even when it came to choosing gifts for a friend.
The pocket money that you've saved up over the past few weeks would be enough to get a proper gift for a friend or family member. It may have not been a piece that would last a lifetime, but a dose of the cheap thrills would take hold of the moment, and those moments and events are then cherished forever.

... and the Community Leader shares her blog about her #MindfulMonday activities.

Banishing the Monday Blues by millycf1976@millycf1976

Incorporating slow living, with my mindfulness activities is essential.

Slow living is taking time out to tune in and be mindful, to feel the energy of natural spaces around me, and simultaneously observing the value of time.
Life is energy, humans are made of energy, and I gain so much energy from being in nature, where I feel and connect with the spaces around me, and resuming my yoga practice today has been like a mental reset.

Some tips

馃敻 The community encourages authors to engage and build rapport with other team members by leaving meaningful comments.

馃敻 If possible we recommend that authors try to use personal photos, however, if free images from the internet are used, please be sure to cite all relevant sources for photos and text.

馃敻 Just a reminder that the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas is presented with ideas on topics to write about and to help you to structure your blogs, they are not meant to be questionnaires for you to list information and publish.

馃敻 The presentation of your blog goes a far way and sharing aspects of your lives and your personal stories and experiences should be a lot more than a list that can be found in various places over the web.

馃敻 There's no need for you to wait or only blog in response to the prompts provided. You're free to share any aspect of your minimalist lifestyle at any time.

Thank you for checking out the #MoreOrLessTheBest Curation Compilation presented by The Minimalist. This is the new official community account, where the weekly #KISS Blog Ideas and all community events and activities will be published from.
I invite you all to get involved and share your stories about minimalism, and perhaps you would like to invite someone.
