A contest of wits and luck.

Contestants are given the simple task to complete a comment with a number in the comment.

Let's check out the last Greedy Yellow Bird Contest post here. This was round three and some were still confused about how to play or how to win.

Certain numbers were rewarded like this:

comment #11 won -> 10 POB delegation
comment #21 won -> 20 POB delegation
comment #31 won -> 30 POB delegation
comment #41 won -> 40 POB delegation
comment #51 won -> 50 POB delegation

Number 11 winner = 10 POB delegated

Valid comments on the body of the post are counted and in round 3 the number 11 winner was extremely difficult to count due to the number of invalid comments from @rapha-el7. He was a joker this time throwing wild cards. However it was clear after counting three times that @vikbuddy had placed the 11th comment although he himself thought he was the 12th. Congratulations @vikbuddy.

Number 21 winner = 20 POB delegated

Somehow the next winner got his place at number 21 by sheer persistence. I don't think he even knew he was 21. The count from 10-21 was affected by edited comments that could not be included in the count. Congratulations @rapha-el7.

Number 31 winner = 30 POB delegated

The comment number 31 winner also came from sheer persistence. It was hard to count with so many entries that did not included any numbers. An important part of a valid comment is adding a number. So far no one could count the comments correctly, but they are winners because they have a number. Congratulations @d-pend.

Number 41 winner = 40 POB delegated

The winner for number 41 was almost @d-pend, but a winner cannot win twice in this game. If he or she enters a winning comment then the next comment that follows on a winning number cannot be counted. As a result the count went to @funshee who is always a fun player in any game. I think she only made three comments in the game but somehow she found the right one. Congratulations @funshee.

Number 51 winner = 50 POB delegated

The next part of the competition was the most intense. I think what happened is that when @rapha-el7 saw that he already won a prize for 21 he knew that he wouldn't be qualified for 51. So it wasn't a sacrifice for him to take the #50 place. Immediately @da-prince came and swept up the number fifty title. It seemed almost two quick, but it was true. @da-prince is the new champion. Congratulations @da-prince.

Next time will be even more fun

The reason comment 51 came so fast and clear was because I counted the posts and announced the first four winners in the comments a little early around comment 44.

Next time I won't do that. I will tally the numbers on paper first off the blockchain. Then when all five winners are counted I will make the announcement.

I congratulate all the participants. Your reading skills and counting skills must have improved. Mostly you seem to have all had a lot of fun.

I am always excited to see a lot of interaction on post and this one gets the most interaction of all the posts I have tried. There are many ways you can use your brain but it seems that the winners are those who try and try again.

I want to give special thanks to @trostparadox who although has been very busy with his own work he has supported this contest a lot. Not only has he been the most observant contestant, but he has also offered logical questions and has been an encouragement to all of us. He has supported the contest with gracious upvotes to participants and to myself. This has been a great encouragement to all of us and has made it practically possible for the contest to continue. Without the generous support of @onealpha and the proofofbrain community it would be very difficult for me to put a contest like this together. I am really in gratitude to each and every one of you and I am proud to be a brain.

The next Contest

I will try to hold a contest like this every two or three weeks. I think we all need some time for our brains to cool down. I am always thinking of ways to make the contest more fun and also include more people. If you have any ideas please let me know. I will think about it.
